The UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industry Strategy has released new back-to-work guidelines for offices to follow.
The guidelines include avoiding hot desking, using floor tape or paint to keep workers distanced by 6 feet, reconfiguring layouts to keep people working further apart and provide additional parking or facilities like bike racks.
“We understand how critical a physical working space is for businesses both large and small, and how important it is to support them through this period,” said Katrina Larkin, co-founder of flexible workspace firm Fora. “Working space providers will need to undertake a range of initiatives to safeguard the health and wellbeing of their members.”
Fora in particular will implement new protocols that keep surfaces regularly cleaned, as well as having face masks and gloves available for employees and tenants.
