Thor Equities is suing female-oriented coworking company The Wing over late rent. The firm is looking for $270,000 in late rent at its Bryant Park Office.
The real estate development firm claims that the coworking operator has not paid rent at its fourth location since March. The Wing signed a 10-year lease to take up 12,000 square feet of the Thor-owned location last year.
The operator has said that its revenue has fallen by 95% since the beginning of the pandemic and has also laid off a large portion of its on-site staff, as well as its headquarters team.
This news follows a trend of landlords suing commercial tenants who have not paid rent for the past few months.
