With millions of people being forced to work from home over the past year, some have bolstered the narrative that the office is dead.
However, real estate experts aren’t buying into it. In fact, a poll conducted by CBRE found that over one-third of European real estate investors viewed offices as the top target for investments.
Although some analysts are predicting office space to dwindle, it is becoming clear that the value of office buildings is not going away anytime soon.
“The pendulum is going to swing,” said James Beckham, managing director for CBRE’s London investment business. “People are going to want to and be willing to come back into the office and investors are buying into the long term.”
