A new survey from insurance company Breeze has indicated that workers would take a pay cut in order to work fully remote.
This revelation is one that has been echoed in recent months as more companies try to bring their workers back into the office, especially with the Delta variant causing an uptick in cases.
However, many workers aren’t being sold on the promise of free catered lunches or after-work happy hours. They are concerned about their physical and mental health, as well as their personal responsibilities.
The Breeze survey showed that 65% of American workers whose jobs can be done remotely were willing to take a 5% pay reduction to continue working from home.
Even more, 46% stated that they would give up a quarter of their days off in exchange for full-time remote work, and over half even stated they would give up social media for a year.
