TikTok’s reign as the social media app of choice is expected to continue making waves in 2023. With that, the app is introducing an easy way for creators to connect with managers and various marketing opportunities.
The Talent Manager Portal will be incorporated into the TikTok Creator Marketplace, where users can allow managers to handle the business and marketing side of content creation.
It is currently in alpha testing and will be free to users. However, marketing agencies that will be part of the portal are still unknown.
TikTok introduced its Creator Marketplace in 2019, joining the ranks of Instagram and Facebook to help creators organize their content and the advertising related to it.
Prior to these types of platforms, brands would seek out creators on their own to help bolster their company. Now, brands can simply hop onto marketplaces and find creators best suited for their needs based on specific keywords and other metrics.
From there, companies can either connect with creators through a “direct invitation” or through “application campaigns,” which would see them pitching their brand.
According to TikTok, brands that partner with popular influencers can see a 26% improvement in reputation and 22% increase in recommendations as consumers increasingly value the opinion of authentic creators.
